Personal History

Vladamir's family are all dead, killed in a Sahuagin raid on his villiage that he narrowly escaped thanks to a dire killer whale. Vladamir seeks justice in all cases, and hopes he can honor his kin by becoming a hunter (of criminals). Though loath to break the law he will do so in order to do one of two things: capture or kill a criminal or kill any sahuagin. Vladamir does worship The Whale Mother because he believes that she couldn't have saved his kin and that she saved him. He always expects the worst and prepares accordingly.

Recently a sahaugin baron wearing the hide of his friend Athesto as a cloak tried to kill Vondran and take the Arm of Telomir. When the battle was over and the baron and his minions lay dead, Vondran decided that turnabout is fair play; he took the baron's hide and that of his mutant bodygoards to a tanner and had the hide turned into a new suit of leather armor reinforced with sahaugin scales for added toughness (ie, a natural armor bonus).

THE ARM OF TELOMIR

Vondran's harpoon has been identified as the Arm of Telomir, a legendary weapon with unknown powers.

Research from a weapons expert in Corsuhn positively identified the weapon based on the darfellan names etched into the bone shaft of the weapon.

Telomir was a young darfellan fighter who lived in a typical darfellan settlement about two centuries ago. The son of a clan chieftain, Telomir loved to hunt. His skill as a hunter, even as a young man, earned him the deep respect of his entire clan. At Telomir's coming of age ceremony, the elders of his clan presented the young man with a very special harpoon. It was crafted by an elven master weaponsmith and features a blade of hardened silver with a coral and bone shaft and a fine silver chain in place of the usual rope.

When his home settlement was destroyed by sahaugin, Telomir dedicated himself to avenging the slaughter. His harpoon became known as the Arm of Telomir, and it was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of sahaugin before Telomir himself finally fell in the act of slaying the sahaugin king. After Telomir's death the weapon vanished from history and had not been seen again until the bronze dragon Athesto gave it to Vladimir Vondran in 1119.

Powers of the Arm of Telomir:

- +1 monstrous aquatic humanoid bane harpoon

- Know Your Enemy: as a standard action, become aware of the number of aquatic monstrous humanoids within a 60-foot radius. You always bypass damage reduction possessed by aquatic monstrous humanoids when using the Arm of Telomir.

- Frightful Presence: 3 times per day as a standard action, you can use Cause Fear as the spell (save DC10+CHA modifier, minimum DC11).

- Hunt by Night: Once per day as a standard action, you can use Darkvision as the spell (self only, caster level = your character level)
